One late and lazy Sunday afternoon we passed by the Tokyo Metropolitan government building to discover a  hypnotic beat of pounding drums. Seeing a concentrated group of people, I asked my husband, "Is this a Sunday flea market we've heard so much about?"

Ski Resorts aren't just for Skiing PDF Print E-mail

While almost nothing compares to the alpine activities of winter, one of our favorite Colorado Ski-Resort vacations occurred in the middle of a majestic Rocky Mountain summer.   My husband and I visited Keystone Lodge Resort in July and were delighted by the lower-priced accommodations, the warm Colorado sun, and the abundance of summer-fun Ski-Resort activities.

Attractive Attractions

 

We were on our way to a Sumo wrestling match—they are only held in Tokyo several times a year; January, May and September and we happened to be visiting in September. We took the Toei Oedo Subway line to the Sumo stadium, Kokugikan, in the  Ryoguku  district. Our hotel warned us that the games were completely sold out because it was the last day of the Tokyo matches. Hopeful that we still might encounter tickets, we were going to go to the stadium and check for ourselves. And who knows-- there might be Japanese scalpers selling tickets.
