The Seasons of life
by
Ann Michels
Life changes and rotates just as trees transform themselves
throughout summer, fall, winter, and spring. Tree leaves in the summer are green and
abundant; Fall changes them to a radiant orange, red, and
yellow collage of colors. Winter replaces the leaves with a rich white
snow and trees in the springtime have tiny green buds bursting with
blossoms.
Each different season has its own beauty and abundance. The
splendor of the leaves in fall shines brighter than at any other season, but
the leaves in summer frame luscious ripe fruit or cheery blossoms. When the
leaves dissipate in the winter the trees stand magnificently and majestically
in the white snow, with icicles dangling from the branches like strands of
pearls. The snow nourishes brings noursihment for new life during springtime.

Everything Has Its Time

1 To everything there
is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
What season of life are you in?
Are you laughing or mourning? Are you in a time of loss or a time of gain? God
knows what season you are in and He is with you every step of the way (Hebrews
13:5). He knows what is best for you and He has designed every day
of your life, before you were even born ( Psalm 139:16). He
knows your future
(Isaiah
29:11) and he knows your past. He will work every situation, every detail, every loss,
every gain for good for every Christian. (Romans 8:28)
Blessed
Saviour, Thank You for the place I am in today. Help to me take your
loving hand and follow you as you lead the way. In Jesus Name, Amen
